Am Montagabend des 15. April 2019 ist gegen 19 Uhr ein Feuer im Dachstuhl der Kathedrale Notre-Dame ausgebrochen. Bei dem verheerenden Brand in Notre-Dame sind der Dachstuhl, die gotische Turmspitze und einige sakrale Kunstwerke zerstört worden. Die Notre-Dame Brandursache ist noch unbekannt, es wird allerdings vermutet, dass die Brandursache im Zusammenhang mit den aktuellen Renovierungsarbeiten steht.

Notre Dame Paris Fakten: Notre-Dame von Paris ist eine der bekanntesten und meist besuchten Kathedralen der Welt. Sie steht mitten im Stadtzentrum von Paris auf der Stadtinsel „Ile de la cité“, auf der sich die ersten Pariser Bewohner niederließen. In der Römerzeit stand an der heutigen Stelle der Kathedrale Notre-Dame ein Tempel, der dem römischen Gott Jupiter gewidmet gewesen ist.
Im 4. Jahrhundert wurde der Tempel durch eine erste christliche Kirche ersetzt und ab 1160 begannen die Bauarbeiten für die Kathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Der Bau von Notre-Dame dauerte knapp 200 Jahre, deshalb ist die Kathedrale auch nicht in ein- und demselben Stil gebaut. Die Baustile von Notre Dame reichen von der Früh- bis zur Spätgotik. 1345 wurde die Kathedrale Notre-Dame von Paris vollendet.

1. Die Kathedrale Notre-Dame und die Französische Revolution
Der Glanzzeit von Notre-Dame setzte die Französische Revolution 1789 ein Ende. Kirchen wurden während der Revolution entweder abgerissen oder in einen Tempel der Vernunft umgewandelt. Die Tempel der Vernunft sollten, laut den Revolutionsführern, den christlichen Glauben ersetzen.
Die Verwandlung von Notre-Dame in einen Tempel der Vernunft ging nicht spurlos an der Kathedrale vorüber. Zerstörungswütige Franzosen setzten der Kathedrale arg zu. Sogar die Steinskulpturen der biblischen Könige wurden unter die Guillotine gelegt, man hielt sie für französische Könige. Diese Steinköpfe wurden alle in ein Massengrab geworfen und später wieder geborgen. Heute kann man sie sich im mittelalterlichen Museum, dem Cluny Museum in Paris, ansehen.
2. Napoleon, Victor Hugo und Notre-Dame in Paris
Unter Napoleon wurde Notre-Dame wieder in eine Kathedrale verwandelt. Da sie in einem schlechten baulichen Zustand gewesen ist, wurden zur Krönung von Napoleon Fahnen und Teppiche an die Wände gehängt, um so den schlechten Zustand der Kirche zu verdecken. Man überlegte ernsthaft, Notre-Dame sogar abzureißen. Schlussendlich war es der Roman „Der Glöckner von Notre Dame“ von Victor Hugo, der die Kathedrale vor ihrem Abriss bewahrte. Der Roman war ein so großer Erfolg, dass die Pariser wieder anfingen, sich für ihre Kathedrale zu interessieren und so wurde sie nicht abgerissen, sondern komplett restauriert.
Notre-Dame ist vor allem für die großen Rosettenfenster bekannt. Mit mehr als 13 Metern zählen sie zu den größten Europas. Die mit 8000 Orgelpfeifen ausgestattete Orgel von Notre-Dame gehört weltweit zu den beeindruckendsten Orgeln überhaupt. Einige Teilen stammen sogar noch aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.

zunächst fährst du mit der Metrolinie 6 bis Charles de Gaulle – Étoile, dort steigst du in die Linie 1 um und fährst bis Hôtel de Ville. Von dort aus kannst du die Notre Dame schon sehen und musst nur noch ein kleines Stück zu Fuß laufen.

das lässt sich so pauschal nicht sagen. Ob und wieviel Preisnachlass Personen mit Behinderung bekommen, ist von Museum zu Museum unterschiedlich. Manchmal gibt es reduzierten Eintritt auch erst ab einem gewissen Grad der Behinderung, aber auch das ist immer unterschiedlich.

Ich habe auf einer anderen Seite gelesen, dass seit August 2017 eine Reservierung notwendig ist um Notre Dame zu besichtigen. Ich wüsste gern, wie das funktioniert. Wir sind zu zweit und 23 Jahre alt. Eigentlich müssten wir dann ja umsonst rein kommen.
